I celebrated handing in my PhD in the end of November 2025 with a challenge of making an album within a month. ...I managed within two months! I mixed the five songs together to this continuous 15-min. mix, going from 'wannabe'-fusion jazzy vibes in the first song, to indie-rock, electronic and an indie-folkish song.
I think the web revival community might enjoy the lyrics of the last, folkish song, so I attached it below. I did not know about the web revival movement at the time, so the hope in the song comes from a dream of massive growth in the fediverse. I should make a follow-up with the massive boost in hope that my recent discovery of the movement gave me!
I've
fallen down
streets online
Who've been lying to you?
Comments here
and anger there
Why would any' want to?
Oooh
Break the spell of power,
open up the source to
Oooh
corridors in closed rooms
Let the humans loose
At our common playing ground
there should be transparent sounds
So,
as they lure
and want to sell
hedonistic pleasures
We'll say no
reclaim our stats
and eudaimonic treasures
Oooh
harmonic potentials,
human imperfections
Oooh
analogue redemptions
and decentral excellence
At our common playing ground
there should be transparent sounds
fallen down
streets online
